Xbox Live Rewards, Reward Central Opens

It’s not quite like the original Xbox Rewards program that had Old Spice on the minds of gamers everywhere but it is interesting nonetheless.  Let me introduce you to the new Xbox Live Rewards program.  Apparently you have to be selected to preview the program so if you haven’t received an email inviting you in, then don’t expect any of the goodies outlined in the program.

For the next six months, the Rewards Squad will hook you up with Microsoft Points just for doing the stuff Xbox LIVE members do all the time.  You’ll score points not only for renewing your Gold subscriptions; you’ll get a reward on what you spend on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The best part is, the more you spend, the more you get, and for each month you stay on Gold, the higher your monthly reward up to 5% of your Marketplace spend.

Incentive is a good thing in most cases and this seems to be as good an incentive as any especially since you’re more than likely going to do most of what is required anyway.  Check out the other things you have to do by clicking right here.

    I think I was chosen. I didn’t see the email but when I logged in and went to the link, it said I was picked. Cool since I have a renewal and a Netflix signup coming.

    I’ll teach’em and will let my gold membership expire, cancel NetFlix and not buy a darn thing from the marketplace….
