Xbox LIVE Preview Program, Facebook & Twitter
It’s that time again ladies and gentlemen. The last few additions to the Xbox 360 are the Zune Video Marketplace, Facebook and Twitter. Last.fm as well but there doesn’t appear to be a block for that just yet. Microsoft and Xbox are offering a chance to preview (get it early).

Hit the link above and start the process of being selected to get a taste of Zune, Facebook and Twitter on the Xbox 360. I do Twitter a lot but I can’t say I’m that much of a Facebook fan. Perhaps that will change once it’s staring me in the face everytime before I game.

Those of you unfamiliar with these applications can check out my Facebook and Twitter steps to get prepared before the update.
System Update Details
Zune: Zune comes to Xbox LIVE with instant-on 1080p HD streaming video on your console, delivering the selection of a video megastore with the convenience of cable.
Facebook: Facebook and Xbox LIVE join forces to connect you with your friends as you interact with the largest entertainment and gaming network on TV. Share real-time status updates with friends from around the globe, and check out photo galleries on the big screen from the comfort of your living room.
Twitter: Read, reply, and post Tweets to Twitter through Xbox LIVE. See what your friends and family are up to, connect to celebrities, learn about news as it happens, and follow online trends.

Signed up a couple days ago. I’d really like to see how Twitter and Facebook work on the 360. Where’s last.FM?

Where is the Last F.M. on the preview program? Thats the only reason I sign up yesterday. I don’t have Twitter and a facebook so meh.

it looks like it won’t be in this preview.

That stinks as it will probably be the most used app on my 360. Even more than Netflix.

Aghh, too bad Last.FM isn’t in there. Oh well, Signed up anyway.

I signed up, tanks! I’m interested to see what they do with the Zune integration because I’m thinking of getting one in the future. I have a 1st gen Ipod Touch that has gotten really slow and is starting to go bonkers. They keep making it better every year so I’m just getting a Zune when it bricks mostly for the Zune pass (great for the broke lol) and I’ll get the Ipod again when it can take me between dimensions in 2020. I’ll most likely use all the other features to but I need a life before I can use Twitter and Facebook.

As I shared with you some months ago, my friend, I really prefer to wait until I get the comments from the whole community about the secutiry measures they’re taking for this integration. In my case, I use my Yahoo address for both Facebook and Twitter, as I don’t want any intrusion whatsoever on my hotmail account. I do hope this works, but until they tell me it’s safe enough, I will wait.

I signed up for this a couple days ago. I really hope I get in because I never got into the last one. I’m really interested in Last.fm though.

I could do without the Facebook stuff, sorry but Facebook and Myspace are the dregs of the internet.

I got in on the preview. I was playing with it a little bit this morning. The best feature to me is last.fm. Just another place to get some tunes pumping through the house.
Facebook is ok, I like that I can access my photos from there. I can’t see myself doing updates from it though. Too cumbersome without a qwerty pad.
