BioShock 2, Raptures on February 9, 2010

The time to get back to Rapture has been set. 2K Games has decided that BioShock 2 will be ready on February 9 next year.  I don’t know how I feel about being a Big Daddy in this one but I’m eager to see how it plays out.

Set approximately 10 years after the events of the original BioShock, the halls of Rapture once again echo with sins of the past.  Along the Atlantic coastline, a monster has been snatching little girls and bringing them back to the undersea city of Rapture.  Players step into the boots of the most iconic denizen of Rapture, the Big Daddy, as they travel through the decrepit and beautiful fallen city, chasing an unseen foe in search of answers and their own survival.

Multiplayer in BioShock 2 will provide a rich prequel experience that expands the origins of the BioShock fiction. Set during the fall of Rapture, players assume the role of a Plasmid test subject for Sinclair Solutions, a premier provider of Plasmids and Tonics in the underwater city of Rapture that was first explored in the original BioShock.

    Just got done playing through Bioshock 1 again for fun and to refresh my memory. Can’t wait!

    I just got BioShock for my pc for 5 bucks! I’m playing through it again, I couldn’t not buy it for that cheap. I’m really looking forward to this game, it’s gonna be awesome to the max!

    I so thoroughly enjoyed the first game with all of its rich atmoshphere, cool story and amazing world, that it is hard for me to believe that a sequel can do it justice. I’ll buy it for sure to find out and I hope my speculations are completely wrong.
