Who Reads Anyway?
It’s Monday and it’s a wet Monday here in Dallas. Normally that would be a good thing but today is the fourth consecutive day that we’ve been flooded with rain. I suppose anything is better than 100 degree weather though so I’ll stop complaining. Welcome to another Monday Morning Scripted in which I break down the weekend and look ahead to the week.
True Blood’s season finale was pretty disappointing last night. It answered a few questions and put the nail in a few plots but overall it didn’t live up to what has been a great second season. I love Sookie though so I’m still in it for the ride.
Kanye West proved that he’s still capable of stealing the spotlight from an entire event that was otherwise awesome minus his stupid interruption of Taylor Swift. I love Kanye’s music but the dude needs to be pimp slapped for that last night.
Is anyone getting Need for Speed Shift this week? The reviews coming in seem to suggest it’s a pretty good game. What I played at PAX was good but was too short to gauge an overall opinion of it. Who’s planning on burning rubber with Shift? Yes, that’s the kitten kaboodle of gaming insight for this Monday.
One last thing I’d like to speak about. Does anyone actually read the contests they post on? I’ve had numerous posts about PAX male shirts when I’ve clearly stated that I’m all out. I’ve had messages for Golden Hammerbust codes when that contest specifically states it was over long ago. There are numerous examples which reminds me to continue choosing winners that actually take some time out to read and participate.
Carry on.

1. I’ve never seen Tru Blood. Is it worth 12 bucks a month for HBO?
2. Kayne was a jerk at the VMAs.
3. I still haven’t picked up Batman: AA. I need to get that first.
4. *raises hand* I read.

#1 I don’t watch True Blood, but rented from Netflix and made copies for later viewing. I am dying to watch this show.
#2 Kanye has no respect, therefore he lost my respect. I LOVE Beyonce, she’s talented, respectful, and HOT HOT HOT!
#3 No Need For Speed for me, like Hazy I want Batman before I get Need. Too many other games to play.
#4 LOL Nobody reads anymore, that’s why books are dying out, sadly!
Down with e-Readers!

#1 Haven’t seen the show, but I do plan on watching it soon. Sounds good.
#2 I like Kanye, but what he did was wrong. Although, I don’t really like Taylor Swift..So meh.
#3 After I get Wet and ODST, I may pick it up.
#4 I don’t really think people read much anymore, they see somthing that says they may have a chance to win somthing free and I think they just post as fast as they can…Pretty sad lol. I read tho :p

#1 I’m a fan of True Blood and I agree it was disappionting. They should’ve just cut to black (via Sopranos) and been done with it.
#2 Kanye now has a bulls eye on his head by everyone!
#3 I’ll pass on Need for Speed. Got enough games to play with Batman and Madden 10.
#4 Some people can’t accept when something is over thinking they may still get something for free.

1. I’ve never seen True Blood, but my sister loves the show.
2. I’ve known that Kanye West is a complete moron ever since he said George Bush hates black people. That guy really knows nothing about manners or being a gentleman, especially when treating a lady. Bravo to Beyonce Knowles for restoring some honour that night. Shame on Kanye!
3. I’m not a fan of racing games, as I’ve not gotten into them, and besides, I have several games I need to finish first. Especially Batman: AA, and the CoD games (minus CoD 3). Veteran difficulty == *anger*
4. I always read your posts and enjoy reading them, even if I’ve not commented much. I also find it annoying when people ask for things that have already been stated they’re out of….meh.

1. I’ve never seen True Blood, not much of a TV fan, more of a movies guy.
2. Kanye is a total idiot and I lost respect for him quite a while ago.
3. I’m actually looking forward to ODST, MW2, and The Beatles: Rock Band of course, plus homecoming is nearing which is always pricey!
4. I read a lot actually

1) As an avid watcher of True Blood since S01E01, the season 2 finale was kind of disappointing like you said. Sure it answered some questions and closed on some plot points but *SPOILER ALERT* Bill getting taken away like that by presumably Eric *SPOILER END* was a terrible way to end a season. Sure it basically guarantees Season 3, but it leaves too big of a gap in the story.
Also, I kinda felt like the last 3-4 episodes just dragged on WAY too long. Basically everything after *SPOILER ALERT* Godric’s passing *SPOILER END* could have been condensed into 1 or 2 episodes. Either way, I’m looking forward to Season 3… If it comes back.
2) Just STUPID. He does deserve to be pimp slapped.
3) Apparently I got the completely wrong impression of SHIFT at E3. I didn’t like it, but apparently I missed something very key as a lot of people are liking it. EA said there will be a demo for it coming in the weeks after release, so I’ll try that and see whether I want to pick it up. Then again, FM3 is coming at the end of October and ODST should hold my attention for a long while. lol

they’ve already confirmed a season 3 of True Blood so that’s good. still like you said, it dragged on. season was still great though even if it ended on a thud.
