Free DLC for Batman: Arkham Asylum! [Update]
I have to say that I’ve had a great time playing Batman: Arkham Asylum so far. It has been everything that I’ve wanted from a Batman game and more. Visually it’s great. The voicework is great. I should review it soon huh? I will don’t worry. Next week we’ll see the release of free downloadable content for Batman: Arkham Asylum! Do want says the velvety blogger!

There should be consecutive weeks of downloadable goodness as one is slated for September 17 and the other, September 24. We’ll see if Eidos and Rocksteady can complete the task. I wanted to put a clever riddle in there but I am no Riddler.
[Update] Eidos sent more details about the map pack this week.
In the ‘Totally Insane’ FreeFlow Combat map, players’ will be tested to their fullest as scores of escaped lunatics bear down upon BATMAN as they make their escape through the asylum’s secure records facility. These fast-moving foes will challenge all but the most practiced players, with quick reactions and expert timing needed to fend off wave upon wave of insane inmates, bent on taking down the DARK KNIGHT.
In the ‘Nocturnal Hunter’ Invisible Predator map, players take on a wholly different approach, practicing their predatory skills to remain in the shadows, utilizing the Arkham watchtowers and Batman’s arsenal of gadgets to gain the upper hand on The Joker’s army of goons patrolling below.

@Elite Effect
My file got corrupted too, at around 90% complete(may have been a little more). I wanted my 100% and Platinum trophy so I went and redid everything.
I’m always up for some free DLC. I still need to do all of Joker’s challenges.

I considered this game but now I hear that it is buggy and not that great, anyone got a honest non biased opinion of it?

I just finished the story on normal, and this game was the best single player game I have played all year. It is rare that a game can capture your emotions like this one. I was still thinking about it 3 hours after beating it.
I am not a big fan of Batman. This is not just a good superhero game. This is a GOOD GAME! The story was challenging, and never got boring. The hand to hand combat was very cool, you really feel like you are a badass crimefighter that can take on 10-15 guys at one time. You encounter a cool variety of bosses, and each one fights different. I didn’t find it glitchy at all. It was not an easy walkthrough, but I didn’t throw my controller at the TV either.
All in all I say it is definite worth a rental, maybe even a purchase if you want to try all the challenge modes and stuff (which I haven’t tried yet).

This is good news! Can’t complain when “free” is involved. I like this game so far as well. Don’t want it to end!

This has been a very fun game thus far. With free DLC, it’s only going to get better.

@Loop
There is nothing buggy about the game. If you are referring to the file corruption thing, that was due to the power going out while the game was saving. I encountered no graphical or gameplay bugs.
The game is fantastic.

Yeah, this game is wicked…i usually don’t like it if i can’t shoot somebody or use crazy weapons….but the free flow fighting and fun gadgets along with tons of extras…not just the story line…i am hooked.(pun intended). Hope the DLC is worth keeping for and holding up my other games in Queu

Cool, I kept hearing the corruption stuff, but was never sure what it was.
