Best of PAX 2009
Dante’s Inferno
Developer: Visceral Games
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Release Date: February 9, 2010

I’ve said it before and after playing Dante’s Inferno, I can confirm that I can’t wait to go to Hell! This game was hot! Dante’s Inferno had the best booth display and it had (in my opinion) one of the most impressive game showings. Although there was no Xbox 360 version to play, I had a blast. The gameplay was fluid and the demons were massive. Hell had begun and I was enjoying it!
I know the references are plenty to God of War but I say so what! I personally didn’t even think of God of War when I played Dante’s Inferno but that’s just me. I’m not one of those extreme fanboys that can’t let a game stand on its own merits. With that said, you should start lining up for your trip to Hell right now because Dante’s Inferno rocked PAX.
Bring on the nine Circles of Hell!

Good read. I’m really interested in The Saboteur and Shank. Also glad to see that ODST didn’t feel like “just another halo game”.

Nice. I’m interested in Borderlands… hmmm
BTW : Seems like everyone has the winning medal but me. I guess Ill have to wait for a new contest!

well the PAX shirts weren’t a contest
and my favorite of the show was probably Dante’s Inferno. that game was NICE. followed up closely by The Saboteur and Split/Second.

Deacon, there is a glitch in your site, I can’t get the page for Forza 3′s “Best of” nomination. You might want to fix that…lol

Actually, except from borderlands, all those games looked “meh…” to me. I have not checked on them for a few months though and I guess they have got better. But sometimes, games that looks good aren’t and those who don’t are master piece. Wet was one that looked great, but the demo left me totally emotionless.

i actually enjoyed Wet. crazy, ridiculous, wasn’t great..but i had fun playing it.

[...] and in a state of “wow”. Do I have to say anything other than this game was on my Best of PAX 2009 feature? It’s like the baby born from PURE and Burnout Paradise. Yeah that’s exactly what [...]

[...] If you haven’t heard about this game or if you haven’t played it, I suggest you drop everything you’re doing right now and queue this baby up! Split/Second is a serious adrenaline ride that only the makers of PURE could dish out. I loved what Black Rock did with PURE and after playing this game at PAX last year, I was hooked on it as well. [...]

[...] is sad, sad news to me. I’m a big fan of Black Rock Studio! I loved both Pure and Split/Second. I was hoping for sequels to both but if that happens, it won’t be because of Disney. Who [...]
