Avatar Marketplace Online
If you’re itching to dress up your Avatar while you’re surfing the web, then why not browse the new Avatar Marketplace that just went live online. It has all the items available for your Avatar (both men and women). It works just like when you queue up a game demo or any other content. Once you sign in to your console, it’ll be ready to download.
And so it begins…

I’m glad they decided to add the Games on Demand and the Avatar Marketplace to Xbox.com. I like to be able to purchase anything, if need be, from the website.

I’m really loving the Avatar Marketplace, I didn’t think I would…But it has some great stuff in it.

Thanksfor the info, Deac. Some of the stuff is really tempting but the fact that my kids can’t use the content on my own console is a dealbreaker for me (along with some of the prices). You could always use a gamerpic or theme that was purchased by another profile. Why not Avatar clothing, MS?
I know some people say it can be exploited, but if people are willing to go through all the trouble to change their “clothing” on someone else’s console, so be it. Especially at these prices.

Some of the stuff is ridiculously expensive. Is it really that much work for developers to make this stuff? Personally I don’t think anything in the Avatar Marketplace is worth over $1. If Microsoft thinks that I or any other logical person would spend $5 on some outfit. The props are nice but could we actually do something with them? If you expect us to pay $2 for a a basketball or soccer ball. It’s a colored sphere. I think it would be nice if you could control your avatar and play with it. Maybe a basketball hoop to shoot some hoops with your friends. Wotcha gonna do?

I hate this & those who waste money… That doesn’t do the World any good.

I was super stoked when I saw the Star Wars store, but 5 dollars for a Lightsaber?!?! You have to be kidding me. I really really want one, but I can’t talk myself into it. Kinda wish I was dumber, or richer. I hope no one buys this crap for such high prices. That way they will realize that the 1-2 dollar price point is much easier to justify. FYI, I did buy the Yoda T-shirt.
I agree with ZeZeeMan about sharing on a console. I am not wanting to buy Microsoft points for my daughters silver account. She loves dressing up her avatar. She can play all the arcade games I buy, why not these?
