Xbox Avatars Playable in Guitar Hero 5
Activision is trying its best to give fans more reason to keep buying their Guitar Hero games. I have to admit that their latest announcement is actually moving my “no way” meter slightly towards “yes way”. Guitar Hero fans will soon be able to take center stage and become the rockstar of the show by playing in-game as their own Xbox Avatars in Guitar Hero 5.
When fans take home Guitar Hero 5 on September 1, they’ll be able to import their Avatars, choose their instrument and play along with their personalized characters rocking out to any track on the epic 85-song set list. Perhaps the best part about this news is that your Xbox Avatars will also get a Guitar Hero makeover in the game’s Create-A-Rocker mode, where players can further customize their creations with exclusive Guitar Hero clothing and accessories to ensure they look performance-ready.
I can picture little Avatar Deacon all pimped out Guitar Hero style. In fact, I kind of wish the Avatars were designed after the characters in Guitar Hero. Will I or will I not cave in? Will you?

Shweet! I think I will cave. I played GH @ at a birthday party in the arcade yesterday pwning lil kids. I was so pround. It’s the lil things. Who cares if they were just 6 and the guitars were too heavy for them. I forgot how much I loved the game lol

I refuse to buy this game … even with this news … this series makes DLC obsolete when there’s a new iteration every 6 months

i’m saving my money for beatles rockband. I still have GHWT. This will have to be a rental for me.

Ehhh I’m really not that excited, they don’t look that great anyways. I’m saving up for the Beatles Rock Band, love that series so much more.
