EA Sports MMA gets Fedor Emelianenko
Mixed martial arts has become a very popular sport with the emergence of the UFC and its Ultimate Fighter television series. What most don’t know is that there is more to MMA than just the UFC. There are other fighting organizations that hold events albeit most of them are going belly up these days.

With all the attention on the UFC and the recently released UFC Undisputed 2009, most would think that’s all there is to it. However, there’s something else. EA Sports MMA was announced at E3 2009 and since then it has been involved in much heated debate on whether or not UFC President, Dana White, would allow his stable of fighters to participate in the game. That debate rages on but at least we now know at least three fighters that will be featured in EA Sports MMA.
Russian heavyweight and rumored UFC signee, Fedor Emelianenko, headlines the names coming out of the EA camp today. Most of you probably don’t even know about Fedor because there aren’t many MMA followers who travel outside of the UFC. The other two fighters are Gegard Mousasi and Babalu Sobral. Who you ask? And I respond with…exactly.
EA Sports MMA will have to do much more with their list of names if they want to be taken seriously. Trying to find the best DREAM fighters or Strikeforce fighters won’t do much for fans of the sport. They have to bring some UFC talent to the game. Fedor is a good start but it won’t be enough if they don’t resolve the UFC dispute.

There words are coming back to bite there ass. I don’t see this game being good. Especially with the few fighters they will be able to have.
