Fight Night Round 4 DLC, Includes Button Control
Fight Night Round 4 is without a doubt one of the best sports games on the Xbox 360. It would’ve been the premiere sports game in my opinion had it included the option to use the button control scheme that so many have become accustomed to. Many decided against purchasing the game citing an unwillingness to use the analog stick (TPC). Well it looks like in September FNR4 will be well on its way to being that premiere sports game I thought.
EA SPORTS will be releasing a free downloadable game update by early September that will allow gamers to use face buttons on the Xbox 360 and PS3 game controllers to throw punches, hooks, uppercuts and haymakers. If you’re wondering why it wasn’t included in the beginning then check out the latest Q&A with Mike Mahar. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because I had the chance to pester his brother, Matt Mahar, with a Q&A of my own a little while ago.
That’s called responding to your fans in a big way! Button control is coming baby! There are also new sliders, a new gym and new equipment coming.

I personally have my eye set on September but for those of you looking forward to the new sliders and other new additions, August is your target. That update will also be free!

Maybe by the time the DLC comes out, I’ll be able to find the game in a bargin bin somewhere. But its good news to hear. They should’ve included the buttons option in the first place.

Good, Hopefully by September I can buy it USED for less than $40… I will also wait to see if that button control is accurate. EA & terrible patch jobs go hand n’ hand.

WHY? Youve had the best boxing game for years. Why change this option to begin with? Analog punching is a nice OPTION, dont force it on me!!!! Take it from a consumer thats been down since KNOCKOUT KINGS, thank you for not continuing to be idiots.

@ROD, it’ll continue to be an option.
