Avatars, Prepare to Fight (and throw Fireballs)
One of my favorite Xbox LIVE Arcade studios is back with new content. NinjaBee has developed some of the best games on the Xbox LIVE Arcade. Remember Cloning Clyde? Band of Bugs? Outpost Kaloki X? Now NinjaBee is doing something with the Avatars that should please the inner dragon in us all.
On July 8, Avatars will be able to fight, throw fireballs, cast spells and much more in eight-player Spider Hunter mode of Band of Bugs. Your Avatar can also take the place of Maal in the main story mode, putting you in the role of the hero. Who doesn’t want to throw fireballs and kick ass with their Avatar? And the best part is that it’s free!
They’re also releasing DLC called Tales of Kaloki which is turn-based space combat that mixes characters from Outpost Kaloki X and Band of Bugs. A new tile set, new characters, new story, new skills, new strategy, new attacks and new abilities await you for 240 Microsoft Points.
“We’re giving you an entirely new game,” said Steve Taylor, president of NinjaBee. “The Tales of Kaloki DLC is Band of Bugs but with long-range combat using lasers, rocket launchers, OO rays and a ton of other sweet weapons to blow attacking space ships to smithereens. It’s all the wackiness from Outpost Kaloki X and tactics from Band of Bugs rolled into one, and we’re stoked to be releasing it.”

I’ve been meaning to get Band Of Bugs for a while and it slipped my mind, time to save up those pennies! I’m mad I forgot about this game, I look forward to pwning bugs lol.

NinjaBee always delivers. I’m excited to give this a go. I bought BoB, but didn’t get that into it. I think having my handsome avatar in game will help.
