The BIGS 2 Producer Speaks
I was fortunate enough to be invited to a conference call for 2K Sports’ The BIGS 2 a few days ago. I’ve been on quite a few conference calls with 2K Sports because they always tend to give out some quality information to share with all of my peeps. This one was no different as I listened to Producer, Rob Nelson, go over what is in store for fans when the game ships. It’s not secret that The BIGS franchise was really the first baseball game that I fell in love with. I’m not a big baseball fan but this game didn’t force me to be. I didn’t have to worry about anything except having a blast with the over-the-top aspect of it and Home Run Pin Ball. So thank you 2K Sports for giving a non-baseball fan some baseball to enjoy.

The conference call provided a lot of good information that I’ll try to sum up as best as I can. I wanted to share the actual audio but the recording got a little twisted and ended up sounding like a hyena gone crazy. The good thing though is that you can always simply head out and try the game yourself with the newly released demo of the game.
Quick Recap
- beefed up career mode
- the control scheme remains pretty much the same
- more attention
- new 162 game season mode
- more strategies to enhance gameplay including legendary ratings & a batter’s wheelhouse feature
- new mini-games (can be played co-op online)
- star power-ups for specific MLB star players
- online lobby system has been worked on for a better experience online
This is just a quick recap of what I gathered from the conference call. The demo though should tell you everything you need to know about the game. In other words, my recap and the demo are all you should need to know that this game will be bigger, faster and better than its predecessor.
The BIGS 2…I’m ready to go big! Find great prices on baseball gear.
