Metal Gear Solid: Rising Comes to Xbox 360
E3 2009 continues to surprise. I guess it was only a matter of time before the rumors about a Metal Gear Solid title on Xbox 360 came true. Metal Gear Solid creator, Kojima, apparently bucked under the pressure (or wanted more money in his already phat bank account). The most interesting part about Kojima’s announcement of Metal Gear Solid: Rising is that it will focus on a new characer, Raiden. He said there would be no Solid Snake. MGS: Rising is a completely new adventure in the series.

I won’t pretend to care about this announcement because I’m not a Metal Gear Solid fan. But for some people this appears to be the icing on their little Xbox 360 cake. Kojima said he’s expecting a Spring 2010 release of this game so that means it’s already in development. There was no mention of PlayStation 3 version so for now this appears to be a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360.
What say you?

I’m happy, because I can think about giving this a look an don’t have to buy a PS3 now. Just like a shot at FF XIII as well.

I liked Metal Gear back on the PS2 so this should be cool! Too bad Solid Snake won’t be in the game. Another FAIL for Sony LOL!

Day one purchase for me. I have a PS3 and MGS4 was off the hook. Loved it.

Good news for those without a PS3. It appears the game will be coming to the PS3 and PC. So I’ll be picking it up for the PS3.
