Aliens Vs Predator First Screenshots
Looking at the first screenshots of the upcoming Aliens Vs. Predator made me want to slap someone…in a good way. SEGA just made me one happy camper because I’ve been waiting for the day I could get excited about an Aliens game. This perhaps is that day. I played the PSP version of an Aliens Vs. Predator game and I really enjoyed it. I kept thinking while playing that I wanted to play this on my Xbox 360.
The game is currently in development with independent developer Rebellion, creators of the original 1999 Aliens Vs. Predator. ”The original Aliens vs. Predator game was a landmark title for Rebellion, and we are both proud and excited to be revisiting the license with SEGA and Fox L&M. Our new technology will enable us to produce a truly terrifying and visceral experience,” said Jason Kingsley, CEO and Creative Director at Rebellion.
I love the fact that they’re giving you three different stories in this game all told from three different perspectives. The Marine’s story is an incredible fight against the odds, and the horrors lurking in the dark. As the Alien, players will discover what it’s like to be the most murderous and lethal creature in the universe, with the ability to traverse any surface with awesome agility in order to get close enough to unleash its deadly teeth and claws.
A master of the hunt, the Predator grants the player a suite of exotic weaponry and equipment with which to stalk its unknowing prey. Earn the greatest honour by ambushing prey up-close and butchering them for a gory trophy kill.
Want more? Yes please! Too bad the anticipated release is towards the beginning of 2010. I hope this one holds up and becomes a quality AvP experience.

Just read volume 1 of Omnibus’ Alien V Predator comics by Dark Horse. It was AWESOME. I was surprised how good the comic is. Better than the movies!

So, based on the screenshots, you can play as multiple characters (Soldier, Alien ,Predator)? I’ve never played a AVP game but this looks promising!

I’ve played the first game of the serie (the first FPS on PC).
You had 3 campains, Marines, Predator and Aliens. 3 different ways to play. Marines had weapons, equipment and ammo to check. The aliens had special powers such as climbing walls (any walls so you can walk on the sealing) and regain health by eating heads with that little thing in your mouth. The predator was powerful, it had many weapons and he could use his cloaking device.
In the end the game was amazing. Lot of different ways to play, and the multiplayer was kind of neat as well.
I’m really looking forward to this game. They should put a mode like the VS mode in Left 4 dead. Play the campaings, but players take control of the enemies.

You can pick up the original game made in 1999. You could probably find it real cheap, not to promote piracy. I strongly suggest doing so because it is worth it, and it might help you out waiting till 2010.
It’s worth a try, since the description of the game is pretty similar. Any computers should be able to run it.

Well… maybe some day it will be. I know MS likes to control stuff, as well as Nintendo. But someday, a PSHome like service might give the opportunity to do so.
I just registered now!
And I’m going to get one of the picture pack soon enough.
