I too have PS1/ PS2 games that I like to play from time to time so backward compatability was a selling point for me and Sony dropped the ball. Based on Deacon's article, there's not much that Sony has to offer as far as games. If Sony could repeat the success they are having with the PS2(why is Sony STILL investing in this system???), then I would definitely own a PS3. When you get a trophy, there is a sound (it's not a very loud one though). You don't have to install all retail games either (and I've only had one Blu-ray install on me, and it was optional). Granted, installs are slightly annoying, but I'd rather have faster loading times during game play. There are plenty of neat games on the PSN, might want to check them out, like Crash Commandos, SuperStardust HD and the PixelJunk games. Nice write up, just want to correct a couple of points though.
