I find the discussion really interesting, and most of the topics were handled correctly. My belief is that Microsoft has not explored the new controls they have added to the "basic" 360 as they should. They're mostly lame efforts that really leave you stranded as much as the old GH/Rock Band gamers (now what can I do with all this plastic?). I'm still waiting for any game to utilize the chat pad (RTS anyone?) or the expansions for Scene It.

And most of the 360 gamers are really hardcore gamers. We do love casual gaming, but nothing like using a motion controller.

I'd rather have optional Wii technology than forced Blu-Ray technology. I doubt they'd start making serious games with motion sensing as mandatory. I really don't mind my Wii, or what it does. Yeah I like relaxing etc. but I'd love to have a really intense sword fight in a motion sensing RPG or something - a game I'm still waiting for.

If Microsoft decides to go forward with the motion controller I don't want it to replace the regular remote because all 360 games were not meant to be used with a motion controller. As stated in the article, I don't want to have to leave my couch to play Gears of War 2 or the Call of Duty games. Sports titles such as Madden or Fight Night could benefit from this controller due to the physical nature of these games.

Microsoft would have to come up with a whole new library of games that would be suited for the motion controller. Create games that Nintendo has yet to come up with. Otherwise, this controller will be just another piece of hardware that will be thrown in the pile with the Scene It controllers and Guitar Hero instruments.
