New Game Announcements, More Guitar Hero
I don’t suppose this is any surprise to anyone is it? Activision welcomes more to the Guitar Hero family by adding Guitar Hero Greatest Hits and Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits. These are working titles for now so the names could change.

Guitar Hero Greatest Hits
Guitar Hero Greatest Hits is coming to Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PS2 this June. The game is in development by Beenox Studios.
Turn down the lights, crank up the amps and prepare to command center stage as some of the most famous AND infamous tracks from Guitar Hero®, Guitar Hero II™, Guitar Hero® Encore: Rocks the 80s™ and Guitar Hero® III: Legends of Rock step into the spotlight in the most epic, full band jam session to-date — Guitar Hero Greatest Hits. The #1 best-selling video game franchise of 2008 presents the best of the best to music video game aficionados so they can join together with guitar, bass, drums and vocals and rock to master tracks of their favorite Guitar Hero music.
Featuring 48 master recordings, Guitar Hero Greatest Hits delivers exciting online and offline gameplay modes including Band Career and 8-player “Battle of the Bands,” which allows two full bands to compete head-to-head online. In Guitar Hero Greatest Hits players’ rock n’ roll fantasies turn to realities as they create their rocker, compose their music and share it with the world through the innovative Music Studio, GHTunesSM and robust Rock Star Creator gameplay modes first introduced in Guitar Hero World® Tour.

My next game like this is going to the The Beatles: Rockband, I grew up listening to the Beatles and love the old songs.

Actilizard is quite determined in their quest to run this franchise into the ground … what a joke …

I hope that only means 48 master recordings and the others remakes. 48 songs is not good enough if that’s the total. The other thing that will annoy me with this ‘Greatest Hits,’ is that the most important people don’t get to choose what exactly were the greatest hits from those games… us!

Wow, well said man…well said. My family would love to have some “Rockin 80′s flavor” and Aerosmith on our 360…I’d like to see the full set list but I have a feeling that when I do…I’ll feel let down.
