Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena Demo
Let’s talk about surprises shall we? Starbreeze and Atari pulled a pretty huge surprise today releasing a demo for the much anticipated remake/sequel, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.
In Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, you play as Riddick, the most ruthless criminal in the universe, who has been captured by The Dark Athena, a mercenary ship hellbent on eliminating him. Using stealth, firepower, and hand-to-hand combat skills, Riddick must defeat the maniacal Captain Revas. When Riddick steps into the darkness, no one’s safe.
It has a new story and all the same bad ass Riddick action supposedly. Escape from Butcher Bay was (and still is) one of my favorite Xbox games so I’m all over this demo to get another taste! Here’s the link on the Marketplace to add it to your download queue online. It’s a Gold exclusive demo so Silvers don’t get excited just yet.

I’m with you Deac. This was one of my favorites as well on the original, big, black box. It has elements of a couple of other great OBBB games. It has the ass-stomping of Halo and the stealth of Splinter Cell.

Deac, I sent you a message on XBL… Please everyone who reads this – BUY THIS GAME & pass the word to all of your XBL friends to at lease download the demo = Lets give Starbreeze their due respect & try to push the sales for this great game. Best developer in my mind, & they deserve a huge hit.

I tried it, however, it wasn’t exactly the stealth I was looking for. too much shoot em’ up in the demo. -_-

Tried this last night and never played the first one, I’m not good at this at all. I seem to be an easy target for the dudes with guns. I must be missing some function of the game. So far its a pass for me right now…
