YO JOE! EA Confirms G.I. JOE Video Game
I won’t lie and say that I”m excited about the new movie coming out because I’m not. I can’t believe they’ve decided to go the route of X-Men with the ridiculous black spandex outfits for characters that had so much personality like G.I. JOE.
However, perhaps the game might actually work. I’m picturing an Army of Two style G.I. JOE game. If they can integrate the style (visually) that was in Army of Two, then I think an action packed game based on the movie could work.

“As Hasbro and Paramount Pictures reignite the G.I. JOE® property this year with an all-new toy line and film, EA is excited to play a major role in bringing this icon of pop culture history to a new generation of enthusiasts through interactive gaming,” said Chip Lange, General Manager and Vice President of EA Hasbro.
“G.I. JOE® has been an icon of action for 45 years,” said Mark Blecher, General Manager of Digital Gaming and Media at Hasbro. “EA has tapped the legacy of the G.I. JOE vs. COBRA saga to create an amazing interactive experience inspired by the movie, comic books, animated series and iconography that we hope will resonate with millions of fans.”
I’m always cautious of a game when it’s announced and then 3-4 months later it’s in store. Perhaps this will be different. G.I. JOE, the video game, is set for a Summer release. YO JOE!

I’m not too excited about the game
I will have to wait and see how the movie turns out. I think the black suits are just for combat and not their normal clothing DeaconBlade. I know you will be the first in line to see the movie

I LOVED the cartoon when I was growing up, LOVED it. I hope the movie is great!

I have had a vision with regards to the movie and game…I see a large man atop a diving board. He smiles, proud he made it up the 10 foot ladder, and then attempts a graceful swan dive. As expected, he in no way controls his body and belly flops to the bottom of the pool, spilling all water out a dousing the spectators. All walk away, wet and disappointed that they were so obviously fooled that something great was going to be witnessed.

This makes me sick… EA is a cancer in the gaming industry. The potential for a good GI.JOE game just went down the toilet.
