Zombies Rise, Dead Rising 2 Announced
Who didn’t see this one coming? Capcom is preparing to infest our consoles with zombies again. The sequel to the 1.5 million-plus selling Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 will take the franchise to a new level of zombie-killing fun with tens of thousands of zombies, the all new gambling paradise of Fortune City to explore and conquer plus a host of new in-game objects that can all be used as deadly weapons to stave off the zombie assault.
Dead Rising 2 is set several years after the infamous zombie invasion of Willamette. Unfortunately, the zombie virus was not contained at the conclusion of Dead Rising, spreading unchecked throughout the United States and Dead Rising 2 depicts a country where zombie outbreaks continue to strike.

Dead Rising 2 is being developed in partnership with up and coming Canadian developer Blue Castle Games. Dead Rising 2 will be on the Xbox 360, PC and PS3 at some point. I just don’t know when because Capcom hasn’t release a date. It’s time (almost) for bashing the heads of zombies and feeling good about it.

Didn’t the first one also have a bad save system? Nothing I hate more than a bad save system in a game

yep a very ridiculous save system.

Hey Deac, don’t blame the game for your inadequacies as a gamer LOL.
This is exciting news for me. Now Lost Planet 2, please.

I enjoyed the first one. If the second lives up to it, I’ll go out and buy both.

The save system didn’t bother me too much once I started going to the save points often. What bothered me more, and was a core part of the game, was the 72 hour time limit. Once I finished the game, I never went back to it. The game was challenging which was great for a change. If the 2nd version is more than a new locale, than I might be interested.

Just found this “leaked” video of DR2 and at the end “72 hours” is mentioned. Darn it.
