When a gaming publication like ign, GamePro, Destructoid, Joystiq, Giant Bomb etc. get an interview with one of these guys they do one interview then spread it out over a week or two. Pretty soon they are popping up on these different gaming sites and it makes it appear like these guys do nothing buy run their mouths, but that isn’t really the full story. There are too many gaming blogs that will do whatever it takes to build up site hits and exploiting their interviewees is one of those ways. I appreciate this guys taking the time to share their thoughts with us, especially Peter M, and unfortunatley they are getting a bad name and don’t exactly deserve it.

1. Solely family orientated Wii games and adverts. I’m fed up of finding out there’re games like ‘Family Trainer.’ Also I hate the fact that the annoying adverts prove my friend’s point about the Wii, and make me feel slightly less enthusiastic about owning one.

2. Games as scapegoats. You still hear news stories about British politicians blaming games on the country’s problems. How about you stop giving ‘human rights’ to those problematic young thugs in schools, who learn they can do what they want and get away with it.

3. Extra content exclusive to one console. While I’m happy when the 360 gets it over the PS3 (in the case of GTAIV), I can’t help but disapprove of it. It just alienates one set of users, when they all should come together. They are all playing a game with people who share the same interest in it as they do after all, so why should one have a better experience than the other.

4. Limited edition strategy guides. Rather than taking time to produce a fancy sleeve for the product, why don’t they just 100% proof read the text and produce a mistake free guide… for once.

5. Series reinventions. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. I hate when someone just decides it’s time for a change, to gather a new market audience. Two of my favourite series have been ruined this way so far – Burnout (Paradise) and Banjo Kazooie (N&B). Let it end there please. This also happened with Final Fantasy (XII), but I wouldn’t say the reinvented gameplay was the main let down there. Bring on XIII…

I disagree about multiple expos. Personally it constantly gives me something to look forward to throughout the year, when they’re split up. Plus I think it’s important for the regions to have their own, i.e. TGS, Leizpig and E3.

I completely disagree about console wars. I will not be happy until Sony’s PlayStation 3 has been beaten into submission. Especially after those lying scumbags completely screwed over fans from their PS1 & 2, me being one of them (more so in the UK aswell). Plus lets be honest, if my thoughts were of a minority, then why is the PS3 not owning the market (and why are Sony still hyping the PS2).

I agree that people should stop RROD sob stories, but I don’t agree that the fact there are still problems out there should be left unnoticed.

I agree about rushed sequels, but just as bad are delayed sequels. They should give themselves enough time to complete a project, then meet the target.

Movie and TV show games – I agree that they shouldn’t make a game for nearly every one that comes out, especially with every new Disney animation. But there are and will be exceptions. I still think there should be a Heroes game, and when the Dark Tower ‘movies’ come out, they will make truly amazing games imo.

I completely agree about the overpriced XBLA games. You can get free good quality flash games on the internet, so paying for ‘effort to make a good game’ is a load of rubbish. Castle Crashers was programmed by the Newgrounds guy after all. 800 should be the limit, as it should with WiiWare titles, which are even more of a rip off.

The collectors/limited thing I couldn’t agree with more. I was hugely disappointed when the Fable II ‘limited’ edition was stripped of it’s physical content. I also wonder about how exactly ‘limited’ this stuff is. I just hope I didn’t waste all that money on the Halo Legendary edition if it turns out there’s about a million of them

Hiding content I havn’t come across, but that sure as hell would extremely piss me off. So finally I agree with that too
