Soundtracks & Bands, New Feature!
The end of the year is naturally the busiest time of the year for a lot of people. It just so happens that for me it’s been a busy last 6 months! I’ve been doing my best to keep things exciting around here with giveaways, unique content, medals and entertaining shows. I have some exciting things lined up for everyone so stay tuned and keep riding with me.
One of the cool things I’ve been working on centers around the music that we all love to listen to when playing games. The soundtrack can define a game in ways that catapult it to epic status. For those of you don’t know, the soundtrack and music of games has become so serious that several artists are now clammoring to get their tracks on a game. It reaches millions of people and penetrates a wide audience. It’s ‘ludacris’ for real the way music has infiltrated the gaming sector. You should also know that I’m a fan of good music. I’ve used a lot of different tracks to open the show.

Electronic Arts is one of the companies that are known for bringing hot tracks and artists together for some kick ass soundtracks. You’ve all heard of EA Trax I’m sure. They’ve invested so much in it that they have a full service music company now devoted to music for EA games called Artwerk. They contacted me a little while ago with an opportunity to bring U360 even closer to the process and the artists involved.
Naturally I thought it would be a cool feature to bring to everyone here so I welcome you all now to Soundtracks & Bands. I’ll be doing features and interviews month to month with some of the artists you hear in EA games. Just last week while playing Need for Speed Undercover I was bobbing my head to the music thinking “damn, that’s a hot track”. Now I’ll be able to dig even closer to those artists and let you all inside the music game so to speak. Why just play the game now and not be able to interact with the people behind some of the hotness in music?
You get to pick the artists and I’ll do the dirty work with Artwerk to bring it all right here to U360. It should be a lot of fun and definitely something interesting to read (or listen to). I’m working on the first Soundtracks & Bands artist feature right now and should have the first installment soon. Keep your eyes and ears on alert.
