Holiday Gamer’s Guide 2008
Action, RPG & Shooters
Dead Space – Just in time for Christmas is a space engineer’s dream game. What space engineer doesn’t love a gift of Necromorphs, slicing limbs and a completely disturbing atmosphere? Dead Space should be at the top of any list when it’s talking about hits this year. It is definitely one of my Untouchables.

Left 4 Dead – I was hoping to have a little of Dead Island this holiday but since I don’t have that game, I’ll have to list Left 4 Dead in the zombie slot for the holidays. And when I say zombie, I don’t mean the slow Return of the Living Dead zombies. Instead, I mean the 28 Days Later “I run faster than Jesse Owens” zombies.
Prince of Persia – New style but the same interesting gameplay. The Prince returns with a new look and what Ubisoft hopes is a renewed interest from fans. I plan to stuff my own stocking with this game soon.
Gears of War 2 – COG TOWN! I really shouldn’t have to say anymore than that should I? The sequel to Epic Games’ hit game serves up more with new modes and new characters. Horde Mode is something you’ll have a lot of fun with.

Fallout 3 – I haven’t played it but enough of my friends are that I know it’s a key item for the holiday season. Pip Boy and the whole shabang is hear for you to enjoy. It may take some hours away from the family but they’ll be good hours I assume.
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe – I love Raiden & Scorpion. I love Superman & Batman. I think I could love having the four of them score some “flawless victories” over each other. I haven’t played it but who wouldn’t love some friendly kombat after opening up some gifts.
Mirror’s Edge – Take a ‘leap of faith’ with this one. (wink) I’m sure Faith would love being in more homes this Christmas. Mirror’s Edge is a very different game and one that you could find a lot of fun in. If you allow yourself to get into the role and feel the intensity and danger of jumping from rooftop to rooftop, you’ll surely enjoy it.

Does the Chatpad tax the batteries on your controller much? or Does it have it’s own batteries?

[...] do not want to be stuck navigating Facebook or tweeting on Twitter with a controller. The Chatpad is essential. I’m not recommending a keyboard because of space and convenience. Who wants to sit there [...]
