NXE Update for Non-Xbox LIVE gamers
Believe it or not there are some gamers out there without access to online gaming like Xbox LIVE. Oh the horror I know but it’s true. There are places in the world that don’t allow you to connect with the necessary broadband to use Xbox LIVE.

Well, here is your ticket to the NXE udpate non-Xbox LIVE gamers. You can download the latest Fall 2008 NXE update via Xbox.com. I figured this was good information to pass along because I know there are a few out there that had no idea. (my uncle was one of them)
This procedure involves burning the DVD or CD by using Microsoft Windows DVD or CD burning software. If you’re using third-party CD/DVD writing software, follow the instructions for creating a data disc. To create an update disc you need the following:
- a DVD or CD burner
- a blank, writeable DVD or CD
- the update file from Xbox.com.
Just click this link for the proper Fall 2008 update zip file and details on how to update to NXE without Xbox LIVE.

u can also put the “$systemupdate” folder onto a usb drive plug it in and it will install it. Note: The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system.
