I’m proud to present the “Horde Mode Community Challenge” to the world today!  I’m calling out every, single community who wants to take part in a war across Xbox LIVE and Gears of War 2.  I’m talking about the X3F’s, the GTR’s, the GSB’s, the PN’s, the Sync’s and every would-be-victim of COG Town!  Because of the potential difficulty and length that this may present, I selected a reasonable goal for this challenge.

I’m doing this because I think it’ll be another great way for different communities to interact with each other and have some good old fashioned community fun.  I also like chainsawing my fellow brethren of Xbox LIVE.  “Seriously” it’ll be a fun way to interact with other gamers out there and the sites they frequent.  Plus, it might lead to each community being able to hand out some swag to its members.

Horde Mode Community Challenge Details

- 6PM Pacific / 8PM Central / 9PM Eastern (date TBD)
- Consists of 5 teams from select communities
- Each community selects 5 players (consisting of an HMCC Leader and 4 others)
- Each community will attempt the first 35 levels of Horde Mode in Gears of War 2
- First community to reach level 35 on Hardcore difficulty wins

HMCC Leader Details

- HMCC Leaders will be responsible for all team status updates
- Report level status/completion of your team via Xbox LIVE to the Director
- Director will decide the winner in the event a team is unable to complete the challenge

Level Elimination Details

- First four communities to reach Level 10 move on to the Round 2 battle
- First three communities to reach Level 20 move on to the Round 3 battle
- First two communities to reach Level 30 move on to the Final battle
- First community to reach Level 35 or is the last team standing wins

Community Prizes

- Each community gets a set of 5 Gears of War 2 Lanyards
- Second place community gets a copy of Gears of War 2
- First place community gets a copy of Gears of War 2 Limited Edition

This is all the swag my pockets could come up with but if I can manage any additional swag, I’ll include it once I gather the 4 other communities down for some fun.  So consider this the official challenge on behalf of Unscripted 360.  Who wants to battle against the COG Town soldiers of U360?  I think it’ll be some amazing fun.  Not to mention it’ll be great meeting new people to play the game with that play the game right.
