Portal – Still Alive on XBLA
One of the best surprises of The Orange Box was the Aperture Science ride, Portal. It was so good that I personally thought it would’ve been worth it being a full game. Next week on October 22nd, we’ll all get to continue on wondering if the cake was really a lie. In addition to the original award winning first-person puzzle experience, Aperture Science is proud to provide 14 new challenge maps exclusive to Xbox LIVE Arcade. Six advanced maps will also be provided to help guide you along the way.
It’ll be available next week for 1200 Microsoft Points. If it’s on par with what the experience was when playing The Orange Box, then it’ll be a steal. You can check out the Achievements for Portal – Still Alive here.

15 bucks is my sweet spot. I’ll take it as long as I don’t have to get another full album next week for RB2.

Cool news, still hard to get use to these 1200pts games though. I’ll have to think about this one for sure.

I’ll just state the obvious fact now … the day of the 10 dollar XBLA game is officially over

I love Portal, but I’m not sure $15 is worth it for 14 new levels…who am I kidding. I’ll be getting it.

No, never will an arcade game be a steal at 1200 points.
These overpriced games are overpricing themselves out of most people now with how bad the economy is right now. I havent bought an XBLA game since UNO when we had good 400 point games.

1200 points isn’t pleasing but for select games i don’t mind. this and uhh Braid (since i was helping a developer friend)
outside of these two though, my nose is turned against them.

While cool, I’d rather pick up Orange Box when I can find it for $20. Not only do I get a way better deal, I actually have a disc instead of having to worry about some dumb DRM issues.

that’s a good idea Spartan and what i’m actually searching for too

Do I understand this correct, is this the game from Orange box, plus 14 additional maps? I already have Orange box and don’t want buy the game over again just for new maps. If that is the case, then I might pass on this until a price drop years from now or I get lucky and just win it. I’d think differently if I didn’t own Orange box already.

@TXPaladin You are correct. I got it and the 14 new maps are fun and challenging. It is a little expensive since there isn’t a lot of new content. I’m a fan of this game though so that’s my reason for getting it. It was fun to play through with the new achievements and all but unless you really liked the first one I’d wait as well.
