Tomb Raider: Underworld Demo & Exclusives
Eidos Interactive and Microsoft are preparing to make sure that those of you who want to “settle in” with the adventure seeking Lara Croft will chose to do so on the Xbox 360. Tomb Raider: Underworld will be receiving two new downloadable chapters with up to 6 hours of additional gameplay exclusively on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. And a demo for Tomb Raider: Underworld will be available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace this month!
The new content will come in two parts. Tomb Raider: Underworld – Beneath the Ashes and Tomb Raider: Underworld – Lara’s Shadow will deliver two very different single player gameplay experiences. Tomb Raider: Underworld – Beneath the Ashes takes place after the Underworld story has finished and will feature an incredible new environment to explore, additional secrets to unlock and different enemies to fight. Tomb Raider: Underworld - Lara’s Shadow will introduce players to a new kind of playable character and create a unique Tomb Raider experience.

The first new chapter, Tomb Raider: Underworld – Beneath the Ashes, will be available for download exclusively on Xbox LIVE Marketplace this Christmas. Tomb Raider: Underworld – Lara’s Shadow will follow in early 2009.
“We are constantly looking at ways to extend our franchises, whilst developing a deeper relationship with our players. The retail release of any videogame is just the start of the player experience, from there it all depends where you want to take the player in terms of ideas and innovation,” said Sean Vesce, General Manager for Crystal Dynamics. “With these additional chapters and the online reach of Xbox LIVE, we are able to deliver exclusive content to millions of gamers worldwide.”
I will be the first to say that Lara looks especially lovely in this new game. She’s finally getting the next-gen treatment that she deserves. In November we’ll all get a chance to finally play Lara as she was meant to be played. (hopefully)

I really hope there’s a 6 month drought of games after January or so … there are at least 10-12 games I want to start and finish before the next wave of AAA Holiday titles, and this is definitely one of them

Microsoft is the worst thing that has ever existed in this world. Nuff said. PAY to have the demo only for themselves? No comments… This is why I got a PS3 instead, we have to show Eidos that they HAVE fans who got a PS3, not only Xbox.
