Some guy was trying to do the same thing to me. He told me he works for Treyarch. He said he searched up my account and said I was going to get banned by microsoft in 2 months. he asked for my personal info but I didnt give it.I waited 2 months and nothing happend. So there you have it.

i accidently fell for a website scam. what the do is ,once a person on your friends list falls for it,send people on your friends list a message saying holy sh** a website sponsered by gears of war 2 is giving away free microsoft points. then it lists the website. freemsp.com. the main screen is set up like the xbox.com login. i fell for it. i just changed my windows login id. since i did that will my xbox live account be safe? if not what can i do to make it safe again?

My son fell for this as well. I received three $65.00 charges & a $10.00 charge to xbox on my bank account. I called Xbox and they assured I would be credited. two of the charges were credited but It looks like I wont get the other $75 back. Customer support keeps giving me the run around and wont say why they did not refund all of the money. What I dont understand is how do these web sites stay active. hmmmm
