Batman: Arkham Asylum Screenshots
Let me just say first of all that I’m an incredibly huge Batman fan. In fact, my fandom took a large shot of adrenaline after seeing The Dark Knight in theaters this year which brought perhaps the greatest villain performance of all time. Yes, that would be Heath Ledger’s performance as The Joker.
I’ve longed for a video game based on the “Batman” that could come close to the character in the comics and even close to a few of the movies. From the looks of things, it appears that I just might see my wish of living long enough to play a decent Batman game come true. Color me completely geeked after seeing these screenshots of the latest game to tackle the caped crusader. Please let it play as good as it currently looks! Batman: Arkham Asylum just might be what every fan of Batman has longed for…a chance to kick proper ass with Batman.

Screenshots: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Co-published by Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham Asylum boasts an original story featuring iconic DC Comics’ characters Batman, The Joker and Killer Croc amongst others - all completely revisioned by WildStorm.
Are you not entertained with these?

im just as a big fan of batman as I am superman. I read the article in game informer. some good info.
they are going to take time to make it a good game. screenshots look great, they are using the unreal 3 engine.
killer croc looks huge compared to the cartoons.
joker looks like jack nicholson.
cant wait to use those batarangs
they talk about collecting items to unlock weapons and the batmobile.

looks pretty sweet, Deac, although the Batman looks like Michael Keaton’s (at least the face). I preordered it already…not knowing what to expect. Curious, are they running it off the Riddick engine?

Looking good, but I think it is the controls for things like the batarangs and grappling hook that will make or break this game. If they are too hard to control it will take the fun out of it.
