Rock Band 2 Next Week
Are you ready to dish out more money rock again? I love the Rock Band’s and Guitar Hero’s of the world but boy do they hurt my pockets. I really don’t know how much longer I can sustain new instruments year after year. I think this just may be the last time I go for new instruments. At least now the Rock Band instruments are wireless. It seems like only yesterday we were downloading all kinds of Rock Band songs and enjoying the first game still. Oh wait a second. It really was just yesterday! You can check out all of the new songs in Rock Band 2 here.
“Rock Band 2 and Harmonix are raising the bar in the music game category again with an incredible music setlist, innovative online features, and new authentic instruments. With over 300 songs available on disc and via weekly downloads, no other music game can compete with the Rock Band 2 music catalog,” stated Bob Picunko, Vice President of Electronic Games and Interactive Products, MTV. “Mark your calendar, call your band mates, and get set for the best Rock Band party ever on Sunday, September 14th.”

There have been tons of downloadable content for the original Rock Band and thank goodness those downloads will be compatible with Rock Band 2. So you don’t have to purchase or download those tracks again if you have already. I suppose the good thing about the release next week is that you can buy the instruments separately. The wireless drum set is $89.99 and the wireless guitar is $69.99.
Who’s set to form more bands this coming Sunday?

You can also export 55 of the 58 songs for 400 MS Points and use the RB1 disc dongs in RB2 without swapping discs.
3 songs that can’t transfer…
Paranoid made famous by Black Sabbath
Run to the Hills made famous by Iron Maiden
Enter Sandman by Metallica
All original instruments will work with RB2. No need to purchase more.

Does anyone know when the “Bundle” drops? That’s what I’d be waiting on because I don’t have the orignal RB game…

I heard in October…

i don’t know about the bundle.

Yeah the bundle should show up around mid October when RB2 launches on the PS3. It seems we are only getting separate instruments and disc this month.

I think I’ll just be buying the game. I’d like to have the improved drums but I think I’ll put that money toward the GH:WT bundle.

I’m really torn. I have RB1 so I could get RB2 (game only) and be playing next week. But, I kinda want the new instruments. However, $190 for the bundle is expensive and I’d have to wait another month. What to do?

I would love nothing more to be able to get this game and GH:WT, but I am due to leave the 19th and won’t be able to take it to where I am going. Hell, I won’t be able to take my beloved 360 with me:(. But by the time I get back, I am sure there will be quite a few more RB games and GH games for me to make up the lost time.

Im just getting the game and using my RB1 gear. The same goes for GH World Tour when it drops.

I have this preordered at my BlockBuster and I plan to pick it up this Sunday. I’m so excited to play the new songs, especially on the drums.
