So deciding what to do if I had an “extra” 1,600 points was a bit tough. I’ve been saving my points up for so long, waiting for specific games… what if I could buy something I wasn’t originally planning on? I decided to go on a journey before making my entry into the Point Tales contest… enjoy.

I walked down a dark street late at night, into the projects. There it stood, one building, with five separate wings, all clustered together, like they were trying to take shelter from the blizzard outside.

I walked into the first corridor and the colors came alive! Neon lights, geometric shapes and patterns splashed the walls. The array was so bright it was amazing, but the constant action left me in a state of dismay – almost intimidated. I ran out of the wing and into the next area.

This place was more peaceful. Soft music played, and even though demon-rabbits sat in the corner, I was able to ignore them long enough to see the brilliant colors in the painting hanging on the wall. I purchased this piece for $15.00 – some called me crazy, but I saw the value in it.

I then proceeded to the third wing, but was immediately greeted by a clean shaven Hitler look-a-like, shouting at me in a made up language. Then a Red Headed Tom Cruise handed me a grappling hook and said: “This could be complicated. You know on the first one I crashed and burned.” Confused, I accepted the offer, but ended up stuck on the ceiling for several minutes. I left as quickly as possible.

Next I entered an area that was familiar, but strangely different. I had heard the sounds before, seen the images before me… but this time it was like I had to be in three places at once, just to understand what was happening. I felt too disconnected and had to escape!

Finally I ended up in a dark area. I expected legions of enemies to test my abilities to defend a tower – but as I stood back and watched, I realized that this was nothing like those tower defense tests of the past… this looked enjoyable! And though much of the palette was gray, it had splashes of color, reminiscent of my childhood watching the “Centuirons” cartoon! This was it! This castle was where I was destined to crash for several weeks!
