Mercenaries 2 Pre-Event Show, Aug. 6
This week I’m heading to Los Angeles to spend some time with Electronic Arts & Pandemic Studios on their upcoming gaming, Mercenaries 2: World In Flames. Before I head out to the party, I wanted to invite everyone out for a live show this Wednesday to talk about the game, the event and other big news this week.
I’ll try to get the other guys and girls headed out to LA to call in to the show. There are some cool people along for the ride so I’ll try to hook that up.

The big news coming from this is Deac is staying at a very plush & pimp hotel which he will be taking pics for us! LOL

Find out what they see as setting this game apart from the rest of the shooters out there. The original Mercenaries set the bar high for “blowing the cr@p out of stuff”, but there have been followers like Crackdown and now Battlefield: BC that take it a step further. How does this new Mercenaries raise the bar in comparison?
Will the entire play area be destructible (ie, buildings, etc)? Also, will the explosions be real explosions, rather than just blowing stuff sky-high, only to have it land intact?
Finally, will you snag me a plush robe from the fancy hotel? (And some of the chocolates they put on the pillow?)

LOL, the chocolate thing reminds of a trip I took a few years back. I was staying at a Westin and they put chocolates on the pillow each night. Well I was dog-tired after about 18 hours at work, so I just kicked my shoes off and fell asleep. I woke up in the middle of the night and my face wouldn’t come off the pillow. I thought it was a dream, that was until I walked into the bathroom and found a Godiva chocolate melted to my cheek. I must have fallen asleep right on the chocolate and my face heat melted it. True story.
