Storm Castle Crashers for 1800 Points?
My friends over at Platform Nation highlighted a rumor going around yesterday about The Behemoth’s Castle Crashers being priced at 1800 Microsoft Points and subsequently tipping the scales of the Xbox Live Arcade. All of you Penny Arcade Adventure buyers take a look at what your fandom has done. If you buy something at 1600 Microsoft Points, then why not 1800 Microsoft Points?
Thank goodness though that another of my amazing wallpaper edits forced The Behemoth to respond and let everyone know that rumors are often just rumors. A price point has not been set for Castle Crashers. In fact, as you can see below, the characters in the game are planning to murder the number. Hopefully they will have succeeded before the August 27th release date.

Great story and glad to hear this isn’t true. One of the things I love is the 800ms point level. Its not that bad at all and you can almost plan to get just about anything at that range. To double that or more for an arcade title is crazy. I tried the demo of Penny Arcade and its fun, but I’m not about to spend that much for an arcade game.

sigh..the game i’m looking forward to most, if it comes to this i wont get it… freaking hate all the people who were stupid enough to buy penny arcade.

I hope this is a rumor but I did mention the same thing when they charged 1600. What is to stop them from saying well 1800 is only 200 points more they will buy it. No arcade game is worth more than 1200 and that is pushing it!

yeah I wont pay above 800 points for any XBLA game. I paid 1200 for Lumines and regretted it right away, so never again.
What happened to all the 400 point games? Geo Wars 1 was 400 and now Geo Wars 2 is 800? Inflation really sucks!

Vindicated!
::crawls out::
@ Col Hartman; I agree man, 400 pts was my sweet spot for games, now buyers remorse sets in before the purchase with the higher priced titles. Saying that, I’ll probably drop the points for Geo Wars 2. :\
