Mercenaries 2: World In Flames
Money is power and oil is money. And it looks like business is about to be good for a mercenary. I just got my first contract and the target is Pandemic Studios. I’m headed to Pandemic Studios next week for a look inside the lives of Chris, Mattias and Jen. Mercenaries 2: World In Flames here I come! It should be a lot of fun getting an inside look at the game.
Hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze some time in to post an article or two about the event. I’ll also have some Unscripted 360 presence at a Dead Space event next week along with a special event in Vancouver, Canada. Yes, that’s also next week so U360 will be all over the place. Not me personally as I can’t be in 3 places at once but I have some chess pieces in place to cover things for me. One of those people is Dangerdoll herself. (yay for gamer girls)

Okay, so now I’m really jealous! The original Mercenaries brought me to a real level of enjoyment of gaming, despite a very busy schedule at the time. Never before could you simple get into a game for a few minutes and blow the cr@p out of stuff and have fun while doing it. It was the precursor, IMHO, to Crackdown and even to Battlefield: Bad Company, both whom took the idea to the next level.
There were times I just loaded a truck down with C4, drove it into enemies just to watch it blown sky-high! I’m hoping that after the initial exclusive deal with PS3 and delay in getting the game out won’t cause it to be a let-down. I think they should have struck while the iron was hot and beaten some of these other games to the punch. Alas, while jealous I’ll be anxious to see your impressions.

the first game owned, but what i’ve seen from this one is not the level i’m expecting. till now i’ve only been disappointed by the movies, interviews and articles.

Can someone explain to me why this game was SO popular? I have never played it and since it’s not backwards compatible, I can’t

If you can, Boston, try to find an xbox (buy or rent) and play this game. You will see why we love it so much.
Deacon, as a venezuelan citizen, I would like to know if the staff at Pandemic came here to setup the cities and environment, or if they just based their experience on photos and movies. From the demos I have seen, some of the locations are really out of the picture, as most of the modern cities are located in the coasts.

Well poo. I was hoping to meet you at the Dead Space event. Now I am heartbroken. I will only recover if you are going to be at PAX.
PS: As far as the Dead Space event goes, you better be sending Danger Doll. She would be a more than acceptable replacement!
