Far Cry 2 Trailer
I’ve been a Far Cry fan for a long time and I didn’t think I’d ever get a true sequel. Of course that has changed and Ubisoft is set to deliver Far Cry 2 to the legions of those who have pretended to be half animal/half man. The latest trailer out of E3 gave me a few goose bumps as I went on the ride through Africa. Africa seems to be the destination of choice these days eh?
Some of you may balk at “another first person shooter” but they’re doing a great job bringing Far Cry to the next generation. With the things you can do in the Far Cry world, it should be unlike your typical shooter. I can’t wait to unleash some Feral ability regular ass kickin’ on everyone!

It’s not a true sequel unfortunately. It’s supposed to be a sequel to the PC version but has nothing in common with it. No Jack, no trigens, no island setting and no feral abilities from the console versions.

Now this game looks siiiick! I seen a ton of game footage at Gamespot yesterday on this game. This is one to keep an eye on.

i just read up on the game’s story etc. and although it still looks and sounds amazing, not having the feral ability type story will be disappointing.
oh well. i’m still stoked. ready to see what this new game engine can do.

in Predator, Jack had animal abilities. he was juiced up with some serum or what not and could transform essentially to a bad ass dude with powers.

I thought it looked cool how you can take bullets out of yourself and spread fire in fields in the directions of the wind.

It is a bit of a bummer that FC2 is not at all related to the original game. However, that trailer has done a great job in giving me the confidence that FC2 will be as amazing an experience as the first one even without feral abilities.
