100 DVDs Dead Space Sweepstakes
With great fear comes great games. Or how about with great DVDs come great games? That appears to be the case with the Dead Space development team out at EA. They’re giving away all the great horror and sci-fi movies they used in their research for developing Dead Space. All you have to do is sign up for the Dead Space newsletter. The movie list is filled with some freakish horror for sure.

Sign up for the newsletter in the Dead Space Sweepstakes here to have a chance at 100 groovy DVD movies and other prizes. I highlighted a few of my favorite movies in the list below but they’re all some classic flicks.

I hope I win something. I hope it’s NOT 2001: A Space Odyssey – I freaking can’t stand that movie. I watched it once… mostly in fast forward. All of the slow motion ballet bull-§#¡+ drove me nuts.

Wow, what a diverse list! I signed up and who knows maybe I’ll get what I’d want. I’m jacked for the game too!
I have to disagree about 2001, since it is one of the classics. Just imagine that there’s no dialogue the first 20 minutes and last 20 minutes of the flick. In today’s “110 minutes of blow’em up, cacophony of destruction urges” there isn’t room for steady suspense. The horror flicks of today are less suspense and more “how much meat can we have flying into the camera”. The unfortunate part is that most of the old flicks will be overlooked as boring by today’s crowd.
