He’s been a silent ninja within U360 for a very long time and now he’s breaking the 5th Ninja Scroll of Silence.  Prepare to evade the sword and learn more about the stealthy gamer.

So Kin, What is your world like when you’re not gaming?

When I’m not being a super gamer I’m a mild mannered electrician by day. I install lights, fans, new circuits and wire new homes for a living. When I’m not working, I like to hang out with my friends and family. On the weekends I like to get out and play some Basketball or Soccer and do a little skateboarding with my nephew. I also draw and paint which relaxes me and is also my favorite thing to do.

What was the inspiration behind the Gamertag, Kinjutsumaru?

There isn’t much of a story behind it. My gamertag is somewhat anime inspired. In the Naruto series, Kinjutsu refers to forbidden or banned techniques, that while powerful has an adverse effect on the user. It sounded extremely cool so I started thinking up ways to use the word.. I originally used Kinjutsu for the name of a clan I created over at Iberiansngrealm.com, the best Ninja Gaiden community around.

Later, when I got Xbox Live and was creating my gamertag, I decided to use Kinjutsu for my GT as well, but it didn’t exactly sound much like name person, so I added Maru and came up Kinjutsumaru.

You were once part of a Lost Planet Clan, what was that experience like for you?

It was a really interesting and exciting experience. I got a chance to play with and against some really skilled players which helped me to get better at the game. Before long, I was mid-air sniping with the best of them. It was also great to hang out with people who shared my love for Lost Planet and approach to gaming. I made some good friends, all of whom I still hang out and game with.

You are involved with Dark Whispers 360; can you tell us more about the site?

Dark Whispers 360 is Raithgar’s homage to the survival horror genre of gaming. It’s basically a fansite with the primary focus and theme being survival horror. We cover all genres but Raith mainly wanted to shine some light on the darkside of games. The site is currently undergoing some work so we are not at 100% just yet. When it’s done we’ll have news, previews, reviews and a podcast along with a few top secret stuff. So stay tuned.

Of all the game characters out there which one do you think is the most like you?

I’ve never really thought of a game character being like me, but if I had to pick a charcter that is most like me, it would be Ryu from Street fighter. He is serious, quite, calm and friendly like myself. He also does not care about winning or losing only the experience he gains.

In your opinion, what do you think will be the next big thing in gaming?

That’s a tough one, I’m really not sure. It’s really hard to predict what will be big. I think Sony may have something with Home, so I’m looking forward to how it will be integrated with current and future games and how it will enhance the gaming experience if at all. There has also been a lot of buzz surrounding Will Wright’s Spore since it was first shown. That should bring something unique and fresh to gaming. I can’t really say what the next big thing may be, but I’m excited about what’s ahead.

What is your favorite game and why?

If we are talking about X360 games, my favorite would definitely be Lost Planet. I love the oldschool feel of the game, the intense action and the epic boss fights. The multiplayer is an absolute blast and provided some the most fun I’ve had in an online game.

My favorite game of all time though is Super Metroid. I think it’s the greatest game ever created. From the beautiful environments that combines with the somewhat haunting music to create a spooky atmosphere to the excellent level design and brilliantly well thought out gameplay, I love it all. Few game games have withstood the test of time and remained a masterpiece like this game has.

Do you play for gamerscore or achievements?

Neither really. I’ve never put much emphasis on achievements and I think gamerscore serves no purpose. That being said, If I’m really into a game though, I’ll try to get all the achievements or all the ones that I think are worth my time. It’s all about fun, not useless numbers.

What achievement took you the longest amount of time to earn? How long did it take?

Probably Longevity Master in Viva Pinata, since that is the only individual achievement that I can think of, that took 50 hrs of playtime.

Ok. One Shot. You vs. Raithgar. What game are you playing, who wins and why?

Hmm… GTA 4 with Raith as the winner. I probably haven’t spent as much time with the game as him, so his experience would definitely count for something.
