Call of Duty: World at War Screenshots
Okay, I think I’m convinced that Call of Duty: World at War will be slightly more graphic than we’re used to in a Call of Duty experience. The Pacific Theater may have opened up a new round of melee weapons and scenarios that I expect Treyarch to get some heat on. World War II and war in itself is a touchy subject and with the way “realism” is being pushed these days, I wouldn’t be surprised at the heat.
Look at this POW (Prisoner of War) sequence below. Treyarch should tread carefully.

I, as many probably did, thought this would be bad going back to WWII but it looks like it will be pretty good.

According to the preview in the new OXM, they don’t want to hold anything back, they are going for a mature rating on this one.
Controversy creates cash.

I am really looking forward to its release and don’t feel put off by the realism or violence that this trailer suggests…
But thats just me and I am not assuming that other returned servicemen want or need to experience a game which might stir up unwanted memories.
Treyarch have some pretty big snafu’s to make up for and this possibly their last chance with Activision so best of luck to them and bring on the carnage!
I think that as the games evolve and the graphics become more life like, we need to take a step back and decide as individuals whether or not each game will provide what we are looking for in a gaming experience. If the answer to that question is “no” then be an adult about it and don’t buy it, it’s as easy as that.
Your dollar staying in your pocket will always speak louder than your voice on any forum and if a developer crosses that invisible line between good taste and poor form, let your money do the talking for you.
*Stepping of soapbox*
On that note I’m off to zap some tangos…Rainbox Six Vegas 2 rocks!
