Spore Creature Creator
When I first heard about Spore, I didn’t think much of it. It really wasn’t something I could see myself getting into so I made the mistake of not devoting much time following it. Notice how I said mistake. Last night I downloaded the Spore Creature Creator and began creating my very own weird creature in the Spore universe. The next thing I knew, 4 hours had gone by. I can’t begin to explain how much fun I had adding eyes, claws, legs and all kinds of things to my creature.
The possibilities are pretty endless with your creature. You have to account for how it will eat, smell, mate and behave among other things. They should make this game for consoles but it’s only for PC/Mac. If you want to get in on the creature-creating action to get your Spore appetite going, then head over and download the trial for the Spore Creature Creator. It’ll introduce you to the Spore universe before the full game ships in September.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with EA’s Spore, here are some details about the game. You can get a quick glance at the specs required here.
With Spore you can nurture your creature through five stages of evolution: Cell, Creature, Tribe, Civilization, and Space. Or if you prefer, spend as much time as you like making creatures, vehicles, buildings and spaceships with Spore’s unique Creator tools.
CREATE your Universe from Microscopic to Macrocosmic - From tide pool amoebas to thriving civilizations to intergalactic starships, everything is in your hands.
EVOLVE your Creature through Five Stages - It’s survival of the funnest as your choices reverberate through generations and ultimately decide the fate of your civilization.
EXPLORE your world and beyond - Will you rule, or will your beloved planet be blasted to smithereens by a superior alien race?
SHARE with the World - Everything you make is shared with other players and vice versa, providing tons of cool creatures to meet and new places to visit.
While Spore is a single player game, your creations and other players’ creations are automatically shared between your galaxy and theirs, providing a limitless number of worlds to explore and play within. Spore could quite possibly be the new SIMS but with creatures instead of humans. I can’t wait to dive back into the Spore Creature Creator and create more creatures!

i’ve had some good laughs with it yesterday with a friend.
though i dont know if i’ll get the game. not really my thing. but from the developer commentary’s the demo and some other vids i’m pretty impressed about what they can do with smart code and algorithms alone.

i’m already going over different colors and whether or not to add eyes to the back of my creature or the front…or maybe put one in front and one in back lol

Have i to register to ea to play the demo? It runs and then it closes : i just see ”This is a Spore demo and bla bla” and then nothing.
It’s strange because my pc would have to run this demo without problems…

not sure Sion. i haven’t tried the trial. you should be able to simply download the trial version and play once it installs on your PC.
