NBA Live 09 picks Lakers over Boston
Oh how I wish I was an NBA player and I’m sure there are quite a few of you that also wish you were NBA players. Besides the money and the fame, there’s the thrill of competition. Ok, let’s be real here. It’s all about the money and the fame! However, since most of us are not in the NBA and perhaps even more of us won’t be playing in this year’s NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, let’s play a little fantasy predicting courtesy of EA Sports’ NBA Live 09.

Head over to the forums to see just how NBA Live 09 has the games playing out for the championship. The “real” NBA Finals begin tonight in Boston so we’ll see how close the game simulation was.

I don’t know what you are talking about Deacon, I am in the NBA. Look for the very last guy on the Lakers bench…
Kidding…

That’s RIGHT!!!! GO LAKERS!!! What’s Boston got on LA, The Departed?

Eh, I hope Boston wins it all. Kobe = too cocky. I would like to see Boston win it for that alone… :/

go KG. that’s who i’m rooting for because i don’t like the Lakers. i like Kobe. but go Boston.

Would love to see KG get his first ring, especially w/ all he’s been through since his latter days in Minnesota and being traded.
Also, too bad Bynum is gonna miss the Finals. He’ll be back next year though (Da-yum..I wonder how the NBA is gonna handle three 7-footers: Gasol, Odom, and Bynum), even if the Lakers don’t win this year. Oh…there will definitely be “Magic” tonight.

@ Deac; Agreed. I would LOVE to see KG get a ring. Possibly one of the most under appricated players that has ever touched the hardwood. Not because he didn’t have the hype, he always did. Just the fact that he played harder, worked harder than any other player I think I have ever watched and never ever had any type of backup needed to push him over that “hump”. When I think of KG, I think of pure heart. The real deal as far as laying it all out, guts and all…great player to watch. If it doesn’t happen this year, next years going to be even harder for them to reach the finals again IMHO. They aren’t getting any younger…

i hope KG doesnt’ freeze up.

I am just glad the pistons and spurs didn’t make it. I don’t really mind the Pistons as much, but I can’t stand the Spurs.
Go Lakers!!!!
Deacon, you should make a contest or something based on the finals

lol. and what exactly is the prize?
June 5th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
Oh hell, I can’t stand Kobe. I’d like the Lakers if he wasn’t on the team. He’s good but he’s also an a-hole. Spreading lies to the media about how clean he is, meanwhile he’s cheating on his wife. And that whole Shaq thing was ridiculous. Don’t even get me started…

Chris Paul should’ve gotten MVP.
June 5th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
The prize is a MEDAL!!!

F-ING EA!!!! You jinxed my Lakers… I hate you! DIE!!!!!!

“Chris Paul should’ve gotten MVP.”
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! It felt rigged, that kid carried his team. Take him away from the Hornets and they would have sank faster than our approval ratings on our economy. Kobe on the other hand is a stellar player, don’t get me wrong. But without him in the lineup, they still would win games. Period.

I think it should have been greg oden for sure…j/k…but it was a tough battle between paul and bryant, paul got his team to where they were this year but without kobe, lakers wouldnt have been number one and most likely wouldnt have made it to the finals
