Namco Bandai Games sent some some kungfulistic screenshots of Afro Samurai.  Yes kungfulistic is a word and if it isn’t, it should be.  Based on the popular animated series starring Samuel L. Jackson, the screens depict stylish and brutal action set against gorgeous locales that brings the TV series to life.  I must admit that the screenshots look pretty damn cool.  I’m excited about playing the game with the bad man himself, Samuel Jackson, doing the voice work.

Bleed into the role of Afro Samurai, a lone warrior who seeks to avenge the untimely death of his father by a dreaded assassin. Take Afro through a stylized world as he embarks on a journey seeking his father’s assailant and to become bearer of the Number One Headband. Devastate foes with fierce slices of the blade while you dynamically dismember enemies as they attack to the beat of the musical score. Afro Samurai will deliver an experience that’s dripping in style when it is released this fall.

    Samurai + Samuel L. Jackson = Brilliant!

    I can’t help but think that this game is going to allow me to experience “Kill Bill” in a different way. Nice.

    Hmm, this does look interesting. I hope this game has a nice soundtrack, some good hip-hop music.

    Screen shot looks cool, I like to see some video though and get a real feel for things.

    The video looks like clips from the TV show. No game footage though. The screenshots like nice !!!! If the game is like the series then it should be pretty bloody indeed!!
