Play GRID Demo; Win eBay Ford Mustang!
There aren’t many motivations while playing a demo that speak as loud as this particular one does. Codemasters released a demo for their soon to be released racer, GRID, today and at the same time they pulled the curtains off of their eBay Motors Challenge. The GRID playable demo just so happens to be a US-exclusive fastest lap competition in which the ultimate winner will drive away with a brand new, customized, eBay Motors branded Ford Mustang GT-R.
For the game that’s all about the race, the GRID™ playable demo delivers intense competition right from the start as players compete in single-player GRID World events, 12-player online races, and then prove their worth in the white-knuckle Time Trial competition, which is home to the eBay Motors Challenge. It’s worth a shot don’t you think? It isn’t everyday that you get a free demo and could quite possibly walk away with a $90,000 car just for playing it.
With the eBay Motors-branded Ford Mustang GT-R worth $90,000 as the ultimate prize, the eBay Motors Challenge has players competing for the fastest final lap time. To participate, players submit their best time online at http://community.grid-game.com/win-ebay-mustang. Once authenticated, the lap time is then ranked against every other registered time on the online leaderboards. The challenge will end on May 25 at midnight. The top five players will be flown to San Francisco to attend a U.S. launch event for GRID on June 4 and compete in one final racing challenge for the Mustang GT-R.
This is a US exclusive competition.

I’m down, I like demos and racing can be fun too. Chance to win, I’ll give it a try at least. So I know what I’ll set it to download tonight at least and start running a few laps.

@Shiftab, you probably clicked on the UK. they’re running the same competition in the UK but are offering the BMW for them.
the US competition (click the US English icon) is running the Ford Mustang one.

So the world record right now is 1:48:36. I practiced and practiced… my best was 1:48:86… =( I must keep trying..

So I beat the record of 1:48:36. My record is 1:47:38. BUT… turns out… during the time I was trying to beat the current record… a new record had been set… which is 01:40.26. I can easily knock off 2 seconds off my time. But 7 seconds… wow… I’m done…

THERE IN NOT ANY WAY THAT YOU COULD GET A TIME OF 1:39, IVE TRIED A MILLION TIMES. THE CAR ACTS DIFFERENT, THE PHYSICS ARE DIFFERENT EVERY ROUND. I RACE ON FORZA 2 A LOT AND I HAVE THE ENTRY AND EXIT SPEEDS DOWN PAT. ON THIS GAME ITS DIFFERENT EVERYTIME. IF YOU ENTER AT THE SAME SPEED EVERYTIME THE RESULT IS DIFFERENT ON THE SAME CORNER EVERYTIME. I DON’T UNDERSTAND… I’M GUESSING YOU JUST KIND OF HAVE TO GET LUCKY TO MAKE A HIGH SCORE.

Ya it is BS, I played for only an hour and got 1:48:07 but I play gt4 and gthd alot. There is maybe a second or two there but no way in hell did someone do 1:39.
