Prototype delayed into 2009
Sometimes life is like a box of chocolates and you never know what you’re gonna get. It seems like Sierra and Radical Entertainment are taking more time to fine tune their ambitious little project. What was once an expected Fall 2008 release, is now a 2009 sighting instead.
To be honest, I’m very happy about this because the last gameplay video I was sent didn’t exactly motivate me to run to the end of the continent like Forrest Gump. Hopefully with an extended window Radical Entertainment will be able to deliver on the scope of what Prototype was to be.

I’m guessing plenty of games are still to come and this will give us something to look forward to in 2009 now.

I’m sad to see it delayed, but prefer to see a delay to make a better game.

i’m all for delays if it makes the game better. for example, the Army of Two delay worked for the best.

suck because i’m pretty interested in the game. but have to agree with the above.

I agree Delay to improve… I am glad a lot of gaming companies are taking this approach. They know they cant push out a half finish game and expect it to sell. They have seen the success with other games that have taken the time to get it out when it is ready.

This game has so much potential! I’m glad they delayed it, maybe co-op will make a return.
I’m looking forward to this game and hope it does well.

This delay might be for improvements and it might also be to not compete against Gears of War 2.

yeah that’s a smart move shoe.

good thing for this – what i saw @ GDC was amazing. If they pull off what we want them to , i say a delay is AOK!
