Happy Monday, DRM Tip Helps
It’s Monday and after an all-nighter featuring the torture of watching Alvin and the Chipmunks, I can’t say that it’s a pleasant one. You have to love those moments of parenthood when you’re stuck watching the most horrible of movies and pretending to enjoy it for the sake of your children.
Oh well, the Mavericks won and I’m happy about that. I’m looking forward to an exciting week. I have some plans next week to visit EA and DICE Studios to get some hands-on time with Battlefield: Bad Company. That should be a lot of fun! If you have any questions or you’re in the area, let me know. I played a bit of the beta this weekend and it was a lot of fun. The grenades are awesome with the little smiley face.

The DRM Follow-up Tip I posted a little while ago has helped quite a few people. I appreciate all the links and feedback that you guys are spreading around but more importantly I’m glad that it’s helping a few of you. Read up on it if you haven’t already and are experiencing problems with your content offline.
I’m really excited about you all enjoying the new Gamercard Comment feature. Like I said, it’s not mind-bottling but it’s pretty cool. Your comments are walking profiles of yourselves here it seems with all the medals and now the Gamercards. Me luv you long time! Well enjoy the week everyone.

Here are couple of question you can ask EA or DICE. What exactly are they trying to accomplish with the whole charging for weapons concept? It’s ticked off a lot of gamers and quite a few gamers are boycotting the game. How do they feel about that?

well it’s just a bunch of gamers that aren’t paying attention and a bunch of websits with nothing better to do really.
if either of them had bothered to read they’d understand how little of an issue it really is. the 5 weapons come with the Gold Edition of the game..the limited edition. last time i checked, gamers want something truly “exclusive” or “limited” when they fork over extra cash for the limited edition of something.
adding the weapons to it does that. those who don’t get the Gold Edition, can buy the limited edition content including the weapons…so really it’s making the content that’s supposed to be exclusive, available to everyone. everyone who wants what Gold Edition buyers have that is.
any other time i’d agree with the masses about tactics like this but in this case, if these websites would just read before hyping up th interweb then it’d be a lot less confusion going around.

I tried your last DRM workaround and it didn’t work for Galaga. I think I may need to call Support and try to have my licenses transferred.
Btw, love the comments. Now you can all marvel over my 60k+ gamerscore!!!

@ Deacon
Shhh. I don’t want to be reset to 0.
Actually I was just a whore when I first got my Xbox. As soon as the gamesaving started, I lost quite a bit of interest.

The Mavs are playing some great ball and at the right time. I’m glad Dirk came back, when he did, because the Mavs wouldn’t still “be in it” w/o him.
@HazyCloud, good decision! I also think it would be wise to call Support before-hand…just to make sure all of your DLC is “linked” to the appropriate serial number, which is “tied” to the console needed. ‘Cause losing [precious] gamesaves is not “TEH AWESOME!!!”

Regarding BFBC. some of my questions are..
1.Prone, why did they decide not to include it this time?
2. Friendly fire, please say there’s going to be an option to turn it off.
3. Helicopter controls, please fix them! I’ve never seen anybody fly those things admirably for more than 5 seconds. It’s like your character gets an automatic inebriation the second he takes off.

@ Soulfizzy
My main concern is the 70+ Rock Band DLC songs and my 100+ Arcade games. Actually, I think it’s just the RB content. I would hate to have a RB party and be forced to be signed into Live. The Interwebz aren’t always easily accessible!

@ Hazy Cloud
I got my 360 back from repair a month 1/2 ago and I’m still having issues with playing my arcade titles offline. My wife has a gamertag and she can’t access the titles even when she’s online!! I contacted XBOX Support and had them re-assign my 360 with the recent serial number and they sent my ticket up to a higher power (it was my 3rd time calling) and I was told to wait 30 days and it should work and someone would call me to follow up.
I’m still waiting so I’ll see.
GO MAVS!!!! MFFL!!!
