I know you all love getting glances at the box art for upcoming games so go a round with the official cover for 2K Sports’ Don King Presents: Prizefighter.  The screenshots I’ve seen so far are promising so I hope we’ll have a good boxing fix with this one.

“The combination of real-life fight scenarios, story-driven gameplay and photo-realistic graphics will set this title apart from the competition,” said Christoph Hartmann, President of 2K. “Our goal has always been to deliver the most engaging and realistic titles, and Don King Presents: Prizefighter will exceed these expectations.  Based on the game’s innovative features and high-profile fighters, this title will be a ‘must have’ for any sports gamer.”

The box art looks alright, nothing special. But that’s not what matters, it’s the game inside that does. I really like Fight Night: Round 3 so I’ll be definitely checking out this game. I’m impressed by the visuals.

    :)

yeah i have my eye on it too. with Facebreaker coming, i’ll need a “real” boxing game in addition to it and with no Fight Night Round 4 on the horizon, Prizefighter is it.

No Fight Night Round 4? Why wouldn’t they? Is it because of Facebreaker? I thought that was on of the greatest boxing games I have ever played, not to mention one of the games I would use to “show” what next gen gamming has come to.

well EA Chicago is no more and there isn’t another Fight Night planned. the team that did Fight Night is doing Facebreaker instead.

LOL I wonder if it will have Don King scamming money from his fighters on here! LOL. Speaking of Fighting games still no word on the UFC game? Kinda off topic I know.

I’m excited to see what 2K can bring to the boxing realm.
They’ve dominated the NBA games in my opinon and would’ve dominated the NFL if EA wasn’t scared of the competition.

Looking forward to it. It would be cool if Mike Tyson was a hidden unlockable character :)
