Welcome to Sequel Town. In Sequel Town you’ll find a list of games that I’d like to see sequels to. Sequel Town has an open door policy for any publisher and developer so feel free to walk right in and make your sequel of choice happen! This list surely doesn’t cover all of the titles I’d like to see sequels to but I sat down thinking of the games I’d like to revisit for various reasons and these are what I came up with.
Crackdown 2 - Realtime Worlds had an awesome showing with Crackdown. Screw the Halo 3 Beta hype that surrounded it because it was a damn good game. And I want a sequel dammit! Crackdown 2: City Arrested. Visually it was incredible and it really brought something new to the sandbox genre and it deserves another round.

Who doesn’t want to hunt down more of those whacky orbs? And if my 9.2 overall review score isn’t enough to convince you, then I don’t know what is. Bring in more gangs this time…make it five to handle. The Shyne. The Boik. The Gai Republic. The Ladyz (a collection of hard core women gangsters). And last but not least, The Agenzy. It would be the toughest of the gangs made up of agents who defected from the real Agency.
Bullet Witch 2 - Okay, I’m probably reaching on this one but the original had so much potential that I feel like Cavia and Atari owe me a do-over. If you’ve read my review, you’ll understand what I mean by potential. It had a sexy central character (Alicia Claus), it had a new, very interesting weapon and a story. And let’s face it, who doesn’t like a woman in skimpy clothing with a big gun kicking plenty of ass?
It felt short in a few ways but for its potential alone, I think Cavia and Atari should offer a sequel to truly represent what Bullet Witch should’ve been. Give me my Bullet Witch 2: Pandora Seize.
The Darkness 2 - If Starbreeze Studios isn’t going to give us another round of The Chronicles of Riddick, then how about the next best thing in The Darkness 2: Dark Demons. I even have a fancy name for the sequel. The Darkness was a pleasant surprise to many in the gaming world including myself. I still remember the opening sequence and the rush it gave me. Jackie, his Darklings and Demon Heads are prime material for another chapter.

Is he done with the mob life? Was all of his past truly uncovered? Has the Darkness left him? These are the questions we must ask and the questions that only a sequel could answer. Imagine a multiplayer experience with Darkness powers. Yeah, now I have your attention.
Viva Piñata 2 - Has anyone bothered to see if all was well in Piñata land? I don’t think so and I can tell you that it’s a shame they haven’t. Viva Piñata was easily one of the biggest surprises in the Xbox 360’s library. It has a very intuitive control system and gameplay environment mixed with an ever-so-coloful pinata theme. The sharing system was great and it really was a joyful experience playing through.
I’d like to visit Pinata Land once more. Take garden cultivating to a new level with a sequel. Add a new ”easy Pinata” feature that let’s kids create and maintain a garden easier. Give me more species and more Piñata love making.
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men 2 - Violence, story and a nightclub scene to remember are a few reasons I think we should see Kane & Lynch 2: Hell’s Escape. You love my sequel names now. The story is already set to either go back to the beginning or continue with some hidden offspring of The7 looking for their revenge. I wasn’t one who had much of a problem with how over-the-top the violence and language was. It was a game about mecernaries and hired guns so I expected it.

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men gave me some pretty good moments mixed with what I believe was a foundation for two pretty interesting characters. With more of a focus on the control scheme and presentation, I think a sequel would be great. Give Lynch his time in the sun. Send Kane and Lynch on a mission to clear their names perhaps by working with law enforcement to bring down a cartel in some wasted city. Ideas and storylines are plenty for another heist.

I agree with you on Crackdown. The Darkness was an abomination.

@caleb, Ubisoft made it happen for the Splinter Cell series. So, I think it is highly likely that AC will follow a similar path.

Crackdown 2 would rock and I would certainly buy it. Like most, I bought the first one for the H3 Beta, but as a bonus fell in love with the game.
I would also like to see a sequel to Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. This is still one of my all-time favorites on either Xbox or Xbox 360… a hugely underrated game.

@SoulFizzy: Seriously man, could you imagine that. Co-op assassins, some online play…I would pre-order for some of that action.

I got to go with The Darkness 2 on this one, I thought the first one was a great fun game to play also the storyline was pretty cool too.

Sorry I can’t say I agree with any of that except for Viva Pinata. It would be nice to return to the garden with newer and better pinatas. I guess Crackdown wouldn’t be terrible also but I do strongly feel the sole reason it got attention was for the Halo3 beta. Bulletwitch? Wow, GTR voted that one of the worst games to date for the platform. How about new versions of Oblivion, Dead Rising, The Outfit, or even those BK games?

i was going to call you crazy for bulletwitch 2, i think bulletwitch is one of the worst offerings for the 360, but you make some good points, and i agree completely. lol
kane and lynch definitely need to ditch the janky glacier engine and need much more fluid controls.
