Happy Monday and welcome to another fresh Showcase on U360. Are you the hunter or the hunted? It doesn’t matter with this member of DDB ready to serve up his story.
Enter Rayven Hunter….
What’s the story behind your Gamertag?
Honestly, there is no real story behind my Gamertag. It was chosen by my wife. She is really into mythology. The raven appears in a lot of folklore/mythology and is a highly intelligent bird so she chose this and added the “y” to be different. The Hunter part is because I like to play FPS so hence the name Rayven Hunter.
What is your life like outside of gaming? What do you do besides play the 360?
I work for Olympic Steel and do numerous jobs within the warehouse. I enjoy going to our local AHL hockey team, The Quad City Flames, with my wife (Twylyght Myst) and my daughter (Penguin Jeni). I actual had the honor of dropping the ceremonial puck and presenting the player of the month his trophy. When the weather is nice I like to go golfing with my dad. Other than that it is the normal day-to-day household activities.
As one of the founding members of Deacon’s Deadly Blades, what has that experience been like for you so far?
The experience has been great. Games are always a blast and enjoyable. I know that playing with fellow DDB members will always be a good time since I don’t have to worry about those gamers that like to come in and start trouble or talk trash because they aren’t winning.
Describe your Xbox setup.
I have a 37″ RCA Scenium LCD widescreen HDTV. I have it sitting in my living room because the neighbor likes to come over and play a round of Madden.
What is your greatest Xbox LIVE moment?
I would have to say my greatest LIVE moment is when TriXie first put out the call for Xbox Ambassadors when the 360 was launched. I submitted my email and was selected as one of the original Xbox Ambassadors and have been ever since. I have enjoyed the experience of help and meeting new gamers and have made quite a few good friends in the process.
What do you think is the best thing about the Xbox 360?
The community aspect and just being able to game with people from around the world is amazing. Then it would be all the features the Xbox has to offer such as downloading movies, TV shows, etc. It’s almost a one-stop shop.
Are you an Achievement junkie or a Gamerscore hoarder?
A little bit of both actually but I mainly play to have fun. I set a goal for what I want my Gamerscore to be by the end of the year and try to achieve it. It is fun to see what I end up with.
What was the Achievement that gave you the most satisfaction to earn?
Honestly that is a hard one. I am not sure as I enjoyed earning all of my Achievements. Some are harder than others but they all give me satisfaction because I did what I needed to do to get them.
Ok. One game. One shot. The three founding members of the DDB, You vs. Thumpthis vs. The Rhymescheme who wins and what game are you playing?
Well, I would be the winner of course. Any game, any time, any place! Both guys are great players so I would say it would be one heck of a match.
Any final words?
Much thanks for having me. Have fun with it! There is no need to insult or cuss out another player on LIVE. We are all there to game. No one likes to lose by hey it happens to all of us. Everyone is always welcome to game with us (DDB) so stop by for a round if you see us on.
