Who let the idiots out to play news reporters? I have such an enormous lack of respect for most news these days and this just adds to that lack of respect. People always tend to look for something to blame for their shortcomings as parents or journalists instead of pointing the finger at themselves with a big “FAILED” on the end of it.

I wanted to hear the opinions of everyone on the recent Fox News report about “full digital nudity” in Mass Effect and how it’s being marketed to kids. They aired a so-called discussion about the game that included journalists and resident gaming stud, Geoff Keighley. The news report cited several ridiculous claims that it appears new publisher, Electronic Arts, has taken offense to and rightfully so. IGN has the story and response from EA for you to read. EA has asked for several corrections to what Fox News aired.
My opinion on this is that it’s amazing how the likes of Fox News can get away with sensationalized media and endorsing people who obviously know little to nothing about Mass Effect or games in general. Many of the journalists were still posing questions about Pac-Man. Wake up! The days of Pac-Man have long since gone and technology has long since improved.
Geoff did a good job pointing out that the reporters haven’t even played the game thus making any opinion of it moot. I’ve played it and I didn’t encounter any full digital nudity or feel like I was trapped in cyber porn. (maybe I need to request a refund because that would’ve been nice)

I cannot stand when the gaming industry gets bashed on by idiots that have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Its almost as bad as trying to get help from the Xbox support crew that doesn’t speak English.

The psychologist they had on as an expert has since acknowledged her mistake, but Fox News is still snubbing EA.
