Ever wonder how much time you’ve put into Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4? Imagine being able to see the numbers of hours you’ve managed to devote to Kingdom Under Fire. It might be useful for those of you still in school to see that you’ve wasted valuable study time playing Viva Pinata. Well, there is such a thing that watches what you play.
The Live Eye has been around for a little while and I wanted to revisit it. I decided to run a story about it for those of you who are unaware of this cool little tool developed by two of my good friends, ZaaM IT and Squidpunch.
I created a topic on the message boards the other day about which games are in the top 5 of people’s most favorite on the Xbox 360. Someone asked if they could see how long they’ve played a game and it reminded me of how cool the Live Eye really is. I had no idea that I’ve played Madden NFL 08 so much that the time spent on it totals more than a day. I’ve played it for 1 Day, 16 Hours and 43 Minutes. Crackdown is my second most played title even after spending so much time on newer ones. I did a show one year ago with Squidpunch about it. You can listen in to Episode #26 for more on it.
You have to be signed up for the Live Eye to track your game time before it can begin to “watch you”. It starts when you sign up. You can sign up at www.theliveeye.com. Next time you want to prove to your parents that you really aren’t wasting that much time on games, you’ll have solid proof to show them. (that could be both good and bad so be careful)
