The latest football offering from EA Sports is up in the Xbox Live Marketplace and ready for download so you can get a taste of it. NFL Tour showcases San Diego Chargers’ Shawne Merriman on the cover and hopes to find a place in your library of games right next to Madden.
From the videos I’ve seen, I expected something much different than NFL Street with a new title. That’s all it appears to be from my first glance. Are there no plans for another NFL Street game? It would appear that NFL Tour is set to take its place. Oh well, try it for yourself.

It looks like it took the place of both NFL Street and Arena which is fine by me:) I know last year they had said the NFL Street series was going to change maybe this is what they where talking about?

yep that’s probably true…this is probably the child of Street and Arena.

This seems like one of those games that will be fun at first but could get old rather quickly. The announcer (I think it’s Trey Wingo) is so annoying because he says some really dumb things. I know EA was trying to be funny by making him annoying on purpose but it doesn’t seem to work very well IMO. The game is only $40, so maybe I’ll pick it up.

I overlooked this until about a week ago when I saw a single clip of the game and immediately thought it looked like fun. I hope it’s game play is a bit more BLITZ like, though.

I tried the demo and it was ok. It does have a Blitz type feel to it. I’ll probably rent it for a weekend to try with some friends, but I doubt I buy it.
